Todd G. Monahan, native to Hawthorne, New Jersey, attended Rutgers University, graduating cum laude with a degree in History with honors in 1999. Following undergraduate studies, Todd attended Albany Law School, where he was Executive Editor for Symposium on the staff of the Albany Law Review, graduating in 2002.
Immediately following law school, Todd served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps, stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. During five years with the Marine Corps, Todd worked as a Judge Advocate in various fields: legal assistance, criminal defense, civil and operational law, Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for two major commands, and as the Special Assistant United States Attorney for the air station. Additionally, Todd deployed to Iraq from September 2004 through March 2005, where he was stationed at Abu Ghraib Prison and worked in detainee operations.
Todd was admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York State courts in December 2002. He has also been admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and Northern District of New York, and he is certified to practice in all military courts.
Todd began employment with Kindlon, Shanks & Associates in March 2008 and plans to focus on criminal defense, family and matrimonial practice, and civil litigation. |
